William "Jack" Jackson

Jack originates from Tulsa, Oklahoma, attended college in Missouri at Lincoln University, and majored  in Mechanical Technology. He completed Basic Military Training in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Jack was formally employed for 20 years with Johnson Controls Inc. While at Johnson Controls he held several positions with the company. He began his career in the Production and Operations portion of the business. He later became involved with the Safety department, where he helped the local facility in Jefferson City attain a world class safety record. This facility reached 10 years without a lost time accident in 2005.

Jack relocated to San Antonio and joined Avanzar Interior Technologies on the Toyota of Texas campus in 2005, while the site was still under construction. His responsibilities included overseeing the construction safety phase of the project. Once construction completed he continued on to develop the safety system for the facility as well as the safety program manual for the facility. He helped to set the tone early on for the direction of the Safety culture within site. He developed a work conditioning programs to prepare team members to become industrial athletes.

Jack is also know as Coach Jack to some. After a failed dream of making it into the NFL, Jack began coaching Semi Professional football for 6 years, working with two different teams. He lead the Springfield Rifles to the National semi final game two years straight, and was named NAFL defensive coordinator of the year in 2002.

Jack used his experience working in the fast pace world of automotive manufacturing, his short military experience, as well as building championship quality teams on the football field to develop a safety concept that teaches participants of his courses that “Safety is always first”.

Jack is also the author of “The “I” in Team…The Star Within”, a liberating interactive presentation designed to make participants look inside themselves through a five point process. It teaches that the growth of the team lays first within the individual stars on the team, and that each one must shine
